This is the story of the forced eviction of Edna Rose, 77. This is a story of how three levels of government failed to prevent the closures at Firgrove and how public housing continues to be severely underfunded, putting thousands of people at risk of relocation in a city with few places to go. It is also about the life of just one of the 110,000 residents, in as many as 2,100 buildings, who rely on Canada’s largest landlord for safety, security and a place they can afford to call home - even if they cannot stay.
